Mercury party under fire from Muslims

A Freddie Mercury tribute party has come under fire from a Muslim group in Zanzibar.
A celebration in the Queen singer's native country is planned to mark what would have been his 60th birthday, but The Association for Islamic Mobilisation and Propagation (Uamsho) has slammed the idea.
The group is strongly against homosexuality, and believes honouring the openly gay musician will influence people in the wrong way.
Uamsho leader Abdallah Said Ali told the BBC: "We do not want to give our young generation the idea that homosexuals are accepted in Zanzibar. We have a religious obligation to protect morals in society and anyone who corrupts Islamic morals should be stopped."
