Adele has launched legal action against a French magazine which published fake pictures it claimed had been taken from an alleged sex tape.
The 'Someone Like You' star dismissed the claims published on the front cover of Public magazine today.

Lawyers for the singer confirmed that they were taking action, adding in a statement: "We are informed that the French magazine Public has today published images which it claims show our client in a sex tape.
"Our client has not appeared in a sex tape as claimed in the article. Our client does not appear in the photographs. Such claims are untrue and grossly defamatory. Our client is taking legal action in relation to this matter."
The 23-year-old, whose full name is Adele Atkins, scooped six Grammy Awards last week, including the 'Album Of The Year' award for 21.
Taking to her blog earlier this week, Adele dismissed suggestions that she was planning a five-year-break, telling fans that she intended to head "straight into the studio".
