Tyra Banks to graduate from Harvard

Tyra Banks will graduate from Harvard Business School.

The America's Next Top Model host has enrolled in the school's Owner/President Management Programme and held a 90-minute talk with the associate dean Youngme Moon on Tuesday to explain her decision in front of select students.

According to the institution's independent newspaper The Harbus, the model, producer and author looks up to Virgin boss Richard Branson and Walt Disney for inspiration, and has some big business plans in the pipeline.

She said: "There's a difference between a career and a business. I'm not looking to build a company based on fans."

However, the star admitted that she is not as tough as she seems on TV and simply brings out an alter ego on America's Next Top Model.

She continued: "[I] would love to have her in the boardroom. I wish I was hard... I have armor, but a strategic knife can still get in those creases."

Banks also told her classmates: "Don't chase the money, even if you want to be a banker. Chase the passion. Chase the dream."
