The 'One Moment In Time' singer was buried next to her father John Russell Houston Jr, who died in 2003, at an invitation-only ceremony today (February 19).
Her life was celebrated yesterday in a funeral service at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark. Kevin Costner, Clive Davis and Tyler Perry delivered eulogies, while Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys and R Kelly were among the stars who performed.
Houston's body was again transported in a gold hearse and trailed by a pick-up truck filled with vibrant flowers.
Fans reportedly called out to her as the hearse drove by, and threw flowers at the vehicle.
According to New Jersey.com, the driver was spotted crying as she played 'I Will Always Love You' on the stereo.
Houston passed away on February 11 at the age of 48 while staying at a hotel in Los Angeles. Results of an autopsy have been put on hold pending toxicology tests.
