Jools Holland to sell piano

Jools Holland has decided to sell his famous piano.

The musician and TV personality will put the instrument up for auction at Bonhams auction house in London in October. The Yamaha GT7 has been played by a number of legendary musicians, including former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney.

Holland comments: "I would like to congratulate anybody who buys this piano Tom Jones, Paul McCartney, Solomon Burke, Jeff Beck and many others have all been accompanied by this piano, played this piano, placed drinks, notes, coats, hats, private implements on this piano. You are buying a musical instrument, a piece of history, and a piece of furniture."
