Earlier this week, a Houston family insider denied accusations that Bobbi Kristina was intoxicated at her mother's burial on Sunday.
BeBe - a long-time Houston family friend - has now promised to stand by Bobbi Kristina as she mourns her mother as well as help the 18-year-old deal with the media scrutiny of her own life.
"We'll be there for her. She was raised in this kind of life, so she understands rumours are just gonna be rumours," the gospel singer told ET Online. "The world should understand that she lost a mother, so she's hurting and she's lost, but she'll make it through prayer and just surrounding herself with people who love her. She'll be just fine."
The Winans were among those who eulogised Houston at her funeral service last Saturday at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, NJ.
BeBe reflected on the memorial service by suggesting that Houston would have been proud of her family and friends.
"The atmosphere was filled with joy amidst the sorrow. We celebrate her voice and [her] accomplishments, but to us and to others who were very close to her, it was the crazy Whitney that we enjoyed," he explained.
BeBe's brother Marvin added: "She could give you all the glamour in the world... She wasn't 'putting on'. She was who she was, and when she found people that accepted her for that, [she wouldn't let you go]."
Footage of the funeral was broadcast live on the internet and television, but will be licensed by the Houston family to raise money for Bobbi Kristina.
