The first photos of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes's baby daughter Suri have been released - nearly five months after her birth.
She was born on April 18 but, until now, no images had been released. Several photos taken by celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz have now been published in October's Vanity Fair magazine and were shown on US television.
Inside the magazine, which on the cover shows Suri nestled in Cruise's jacket with the couple looking over her, Holmes gives an interview attacking the media. She protested against press speculation over why the pictures were not released earlier.
"The stuff they say about Suri - you shouldn't say that about us, and you can't say that about my child," she argued. "This is my future. This is my family, and I care so much about them.
"To see how someone as caring and good as Tom is, to see how things can just get so twisted and turned around... where does it come from?"
