A public row broke out between Russell Brand and Rod Stewart at the GQ awards when the comedian said he had slept with Stewart's daughter.
Brand first stunned the Man of the Year awards audience by discussing an alleged "date rape" said to have occurred at his party at the Edinburgh Festival. "I never did a sex attack," he told the crowd.
"At the time the alleged sex attack was occurring I was having consensual sex with witnesses. Lovely night it turned out to be." The Big Brother's Big Mouth star continued: "Here's to Rod Stewart who had a go at me earlier this year for too much womanising.
"But then again I did have a go on his daughter." He was rumoured to have been out with 27-year-old Kimberly Stewart earlier this year.
Stewart, however, hit back with equal drama from the stage at London's Royal Opera House. "You went with my daughter, did you?" He demanded: "Russell, stand up," prompting Brand to his feet, replying: "I took her out for one evening."
"Did you behave yourself?" enquired Stewart. "I never touched that girl," came the reply. "F***ing right you didn't. You mustn't come up here and boast. I speak here as a father."
An allegation that a 20-year-old was raped at Brand's flat is being investigated by police but Brand, who has denied any knowledge of the attack, is not alleged to be involved.
