Rihanna shouldn't go back to Chris Brown, says Ricki-Lee Coulter

Ricki-Lee Coulter has told Rihanna not to go back to her abusive ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.
The Australian singer, whose mother Loretta was a victim of domestic violence, issued the warning after Rihanna and Brown released remixes of each others songs, sparking rumours that they could be on the verge of reuniting three years after he pleaded guilty to assaulting her.

Coulter wrote on her Facebook page: "I watched one day as [my mum] was thrown around a room then lifted a foot off the ground by her neck. She grabbed me and walked out that door and never went back. I admire women who have the strength to walk out of situations like that."
She admitted that it is "possible" for people with a violent history to become friends eventually, but insisted that you should "never put yourself back in a relationship with them", arguing: "Statistics are that if they do it once - they will do it again."
Coulter continued of the former couple's duet on 'Birthday Cake': "I just don't think releasing a song like this together is a great message to Rihanna's fans... especially one so explicit [and] suggestive where he talks about her like an object."
She suggested that a "better duet" for Brown and Rihanna to do would have been "him singing about how he messed up... something that empowers her."
Coulter added: "Domestic violence is not okay. It is not something that should be trivialised. It is not something that should be brushed under the carpet. It is not something that should be tolerated."
