Arctic Monkeys have more age problems
Published Thursday, Sep 7 2006, 17:51 BST | By David Cribb
The Arctic Monkeys were refused entry to two clubs on the night of their Mercury Prize win, because they looked too young.
The band were out to celebrate their victory, but bouncers did not believe they were over 18. They eventually gained access to the Met Bar in London, where they joined The Killers and Muse to party.
It was the second time in a day for the Monkeys, after they were initally refused entry to the Mercury Awards themselves. The band had to be led around the back, rather than entering via the red carpet.
