The actress - accompanied by Brad Pitt - wore a black velvet Atelier Versace dress at the Oscars last night, attracting attention for her revealing pose.
After receiving the 'Best Adapted Screenplay' award for The Descendants, scribe Jim Rash mimicked Jolie's on-stage stance. Joking backstage, Rash said: "I had just seen her pose and thought it was bold and fun. And you know what? We have exactly the same legs! Really, it was a loving tribute and nothing but."
Various messages on the spoof include: "Check out this leg over here!" "Still here. Great view, but thank god for the slit in this dress", and "You have to admit I'm one hell of a leg".
Revealing the Twitter buzz behind her appearance, The Academy commented: "Angelina Jolie's appearance got a LOT of people talking - 3,399 tweets per minute about her in fact."
