Amy Childs confirms first perfume: 'I'm so excited'

Amy Childs has revealed that she will release her first perfume later this year.

The former Only Way Is Essex star confirmed that she is working on the fragrance in her New magazine column.

"I've got some news for you all - I'm bringing out my own perfume! I'm so excited. It's some thing I've wanted to do for a long time as I love perfume and all things girly," Childs wrote. "Now it's finally happening.

"We are aiming to have it out by August, but it's all in the early stages. It hasn't even got a name yet, so any suggestions are welcome!"

Meanwhile, the 21-year-old - who launches her new Amy Childs's Lashes range in London next week - dismissed reports that she will team up with her cousin Harry Derbidge for a UK version of Paris Hilton's The Simple Life.

"Last week, Paris Hilton sent me a message on Twitter saying she really likes me. She said she'd read that I was making a TV show like The Simple Life and she wanted to wish me luck, and can't wait to meet me when she comes to London!

"I replied to say I loved her show and would really like to meet her, too. But the story about Harry and I making a UK version of The Simple Life isn't strictly true. But we are working on various projects together and there is talk of doing some kind of show."
