The Duchess of Cambridge joined the Queen and Prince Philip for the first date of the monarch's Diamond Jubilee tour today in Leicester.
Kate was elegantly dressed in affordable British high street brands, wearing a pine green collarless tailored jacket and matching dress from LK Bennett. The 30-year-old Duchess, who accepted flowers and gifts from cheering crowds in the city, teamed the outfit with suede courts and a hat by milliner James Lock.
The Queen, wearing a cerise cashmere dress and coat by Angela Kelly, and her granddaughter-in-law attended a fashion parade at De Montfort University during which six students presented the Duchess with designs of a pair of shoes and from which she had to select her favourite.
The winning pair, designed by 20-year-old Becka Hunt, were inspired by Kate's engagement ring which originally belonged to the late Princess Diana and will be made and eventually worn by the future Queen.
