Dita Von Teese has revealed what she thinks makes a good "femme fatale".

The burlesque star, who is currently visiting Australia to launch her new Von Folies lingerie line, revealed the secrets behind her successful style at her fashion show in Melbourne.

Demanding that photographers put down their cameras while she spoke, Von Teese told the Herald Sun: "A femme fatale is always chic, a little wicked, edgy and dark, and has her own dress code she sticks to."

She also said that she had banned all her models from getting spray tans, saying: "I really wanted natural skin tones and not the fake orange glow. I want the real thing."

Von Teese also said that she wanted her models to have a "bit of a jiggle".

Earlier this week, the star said that she had turned down some models at the auditions for her fashion show because they were too skinny.

"Of course I want to show all different types and more voluptuous girls," she said. "It's important to me [that] we show curvaceous women and fuller-figured girls... lingerie looks terrific on girls with shape."
