Hamm hit out at the reality stars for turning their perceived lack of talent and intelligence into a "valuable commodity".
"We're at a place where the idea of being 'elite' is somehow considered a negative," he argued to Elle. "Whether it's Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated.
"Being a f***ing idiot is certainly a valuable commodity in this culture because you're rewarded significantly."

Hamm has previously praised his actress girlfriend of 14 years Jennifer Westfeldt for the passion she brings to her roles.
"She is the most open-hearted, sweetest most loving person that I know," he said. "And I think that's pretty obvious in the work that she does."
