Dancing on Ice host Christine Bleakley has stated that she is "not a slave" to her appearance.

The ex-Daybreak presenter, who released her own fitness DVD last year, said that she does not feel the same "pressure" to appear thin and glamorous as others in the public eye.

"I like my food and I want to have a normal life," she told The People. "I am not a slave to how I have to look the time. I want to look good for myself.

"[It] is a lot to do with your own personality and what makes you happy. I have naughty food, that is why I exercise, that's why I want to push myself."

Bleakley went on to declare that she has no complaints about the physique of her footballer fiancé Frank Lampard.

"Frank is so fit, he is a sportsman with a great body," she gushed. "I enjoy keeping him fit, if you see what I mean. We like to keep fit together."

Bleakley this week teamed up with Jack Osbourne to launch Reebok's 'The Sport Of Fitness Has Arrived' campaign in London.
