The Homeland actor will join guests at the event on Wednesday (March 14) to coincide with British Prime Minister David Cameron's visit to the US, reports The AP.

Meanwhile, The Artist's Uggie has also been invited on behalf of the Washington Times to attend the White House Correspondents Association dinner.
The dinner will be presented by ABC late night host Jimmy Kimmel.
Damian Lewis recently revealed that he almost turned down his role of Nicholas Brody in the Showtime drama.
