Aussie entertainer Ian Turpie funeral to take place on Friday

Ian Turpie's funeral details have been revealed.

The Australian singer, actor, radio and TV star, who was best known for his role as presenter of The New Price is Right, passed away on March 11 at the age of 68 after a year-long battle with cancer.

According to AAP, Turpie will be remembered by family and friends at 2pm tomorrow (Friday, March 16) in a service at Magnolia Chapel in Macquarie Park in North Ryde, Sydney.

A number of Australian celebrities paid tribute to Turpie earlier this week. Breakfast television host Larry Emdur described the star as the "best Price host ever" and a "good bloke".

John Burgess said that he was "very sad" to have lost a "good mate", Millionaire Hot Seat's Eddie McGuire remembered Turpie's "big smile" and comedian Rob Shehadie said that it had been an "honour" to work alongside him.

Turpie is survived by his wife Jan, three children Michelle, Sacha and Joshua and three grandchildren.
