The former Pussycat Dolls singer, who recently rekindled her long-term relationship with Formula 1 driver Hamilton, joined him and his racing team in the McLaren suite at the Australian Grand Prix over the weekend.
Scherzinger told the Herald Sun that it was well worth her making the trip to Melbourne to support Hamilton, who came third in the race, saying: "I just have so much respect for what the racers and their teams do.
"It is one of the greatest sports. I am fascinated and I am in awe of Lewis when I watch him. He is very special.'' She also admitted that she was "a bit nervous" before Hamilton raced, adding: "But I am a very competitive person by nature so I try to focus positive energy for him."
Hollywood actor Aaron Eckhart, who was the international celebrity guest at the Australian Grand Prix, said that he was enjoying his trip to the country very much, giving Melbourne an "11" out of 10.
Other celebrities at the F1 race included media mogul James Packer and his pregnant wife Erica, paparazzi boss Darryn Lyons and singer Leo Sayer.
