The top 50 list, which was compiled by the staff of CLEO magazine and female celebrities such as Stephanie McIntosh and Laura Dundovic, comprises a mixture of Australia's most eligible male celebrities and everyday men.
Neighbours actor Chris Milligan, who plays Kyle Canning in the soap, made the shortlist published on the CLEO website, as did last year's X Factor Australia finalist Johnny Ruffo.
Packed to the Rafters actor Ryan Corr, former MasterChef contestant and lifeguard Hayden Quinn, Australian Football League player Israel Folau and skateboarder Corbin Harris were also named.
CLEO editor Gemma Crisp said of the awards: "We've always stuck to the core value, which is 'how eligible is he?' Putting it simply, would CLEO readers want to date this guy? The hairstyles and outfits have definitely changed for the better, thankfully!
"It's important to keep moving and changing with the times, but we've always looked for A-grade Aussie men who can change a light bulb just as easily as they can pop the cork on a bottle of French champagne."
Other celebrities included were 23-year-old Beauty and the Geek winner Lachlan Cosgrove, plus singer and dancer Timomatic.
The members of the public featured in the list included an environmental ranger, an anti-binge drinking campaigner, a furniture importer and a firefighter.
Last year's CLEO 'Bachelor of the Year' was swimming champion Eamon Sullivan.
