The American Idol judge was reported to have tied the knot with Smart on a Mexican vacation by a tabloid, but her spokesperson has emphatically refuted the rumour.
"[The tabloid] story is completely false," Lopez's spokesperson told Us Weekly.
Lopez was first linked to the background dancer in November 2011 when the couple were seen at several LA hotspots.
The 'On The Floor' singer defended the age gap between herself and the 24-year-old Smart earlier this month by insisting that her boyfriend is "a good egg".
Lopez filed for divorce from husband Marc Anthony in July after seven years of marriage.
