The 'Big Girls Don't Cry' singer – who previously hinted that she might have a baby this year – told MTV News that she is actually far too busy to start a family right now.
"It's not happening yet, I can tell you that definitely," she revealed, adding: "We want to have a family, so that is in the cards, but it's just not this second."
Fergie went on to reveal that her extended hiatus from the Black Eyed Peas has allowed her to spend more time with Duhamel in recent months.
"We like each other, we like hanging out together, we have fun," she beamed.
"We have fun in the kitchen cooking and singing silly songs, not to give too much away, not going any further than that, but we have a good time together, and it's nice to get to have that quality time. We enjoy it."
Fergie recently denied that she will join The X Factor USA judging panel, saying: "I know that my managers and agents have been in touch with the X Factor both last season and this season, but both times it's not the right time."
