Exclusive: Sinitta on Simon Cowell house intruder: 'He thought it was me'

By
Sinitta has told Digital Spy that she wants Simon Cowell to move out of his London home, after a fan recently gained access.

Cowell came face-to-face with the female intruder on Saturday night, when he heard a disturbance upstairs. On-site security apprehended Leanne Zaloumis, who was charged with aggravated burglary.

"Apparently he thought it was me coming through his window!" Sinitta jested. When asked if she has ever entered the music mogul's home via a window, she laughed, adding: "Next question please!"

On how the incident will affect Cowell, she said: "I think it's pretty alarming really. It's probably affected me worse. I think he should move and everything now. Change security, build a high gate around his house - or just move. What on earth were the security doing? Were they asleep?"

Joking on Twitter, former X Factor star Sharon Osbourne tweeted: "Breaking News...The intruder who was found in @SimonCowell's house was only Sinitta. Panic over!"

Sinitta, who was speaking after recording Nick Jr's Bedtime Story for broadcast in the summer, told Digital Spy that she tuned in to both Britain's Got Talent and BBC rival The Voice UK on Saturday night.

"I thought that they were both amazing. It's good have Simon back on UK TV!" she said, also praising "great" newcomer Alesha Dixon.

It was recently announced that Sinitta will join former Stock Aitken Waterman acts including Steps, Rick Astley and Jason Donovan for a one-off concert to mark the PWL label's 25th anniversary.
