Cissy said that she still feels "proud" of her daughter despite the recent finding that she had died of accidental drowning combined with effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use.
Cissy told My9: "I know I did the best I could... I don't blame myself. I know I did the best I could for everything. I'm very proud of my daughter. She accomplished a whole lot in the short time that she had here... she was a very wonderful person."
She also said that she still struggles with her grief, saying: "I have my moments... I'm not there yet... I don't think I'm any more courageous than anyone else."
Cissy hit back at rumours that Whitney was experiencing financial problems before her death, saying: "Whitney did not die broke... she's not broke. None of that crap."
Whitney's ex-husband Bobby Brown was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Los Angeles earlier this week. His lawyer has insisted that Brown is "innocent' until proven guilty" and was "not driving erratically".
