Gordan Ramsay once paid for his brother's heroin in a desperate bid to make him attend their father's funeral.
In his autobiography Humble Pie, the 39-year-old chef reveals the truth about his relationship with troubled younger brother Ronnie and his numerous attempts to help him beat drugs.
"Ronnie was a desperate heroin addict and he was refusing to go [to the funeral]," writes the Hell's Kitchen star. "I was at my wits' end. Finally, about an hour before the funeral, I gave him money so he could buy what he needed to get him through."
"I thought it was better for him to be there and off his face than not there at all," he added.
