Rancic confirmed in October that she has breast cancer and later had a double mastectomy as part of her treatment.
Appearing on Today with her husband Bill Rancic, the E! News host revealed that she is "good".
"It's been a tough journey," she said. "You get this double mastectomy and you think, 'OK, I'm good, this is all over'. But it's tough. You get the pathology back and with us it was a little worse than we thought it was to begin with, so thank God I did get that double mastectomy.
"It was scary. There were a lot of words and treatments being tossed around, but after a lot of research and further research and further tests on me, as of now I won't be needing chemotherapy, which is fantastic news.
"But I will go ahead and move forward with oral medication and that sort of thing. That's what you've got to do. You do what the doctor tells you to do and it's going to be okay."
Bill Rancic added: "It makes the little things not seem so important. This summer we're going to renew our vows, really take life on and look at it in a new way."
The couple also revealed that they "absolutely" want to have a child in the future.
"Right now we're exploring all of our options and the great thing is we still have options out there," Bill Rancic said. "There's a lot of things we haven't looked at yet and we're going to dive in. I think this is going to be our year. I have a very good feeling - 2012 is the year of the Rancics."
