The How I Met Your Mother actor returns for his third Tonys hosting stint on June 12 at New York City's historic Beacon Theater.
Harris said in a statement that he's "thrilled" to be honouring the very best of Broadway once again.
"Not only will I be shining a spotlight on the best that Broadway has to offer, but hopefully I'll score some free house seats to a show - or five," the actor joked.
Harris first hosted the Tony Awards in 2009 and returned last year, when War Horse took home the 'Best Play' prize.
The star has performed on Broadway in Sweeney Todd and Cabaret.
2012 Tony Award nominees will announced on May 1 and the 66th annual Tony Awards air Sunday, June 10 at 8/7c on CBS.
