Ricky Martin stars in the ensemble alongside Elena Roger, who plays the historical role of Argentinian First Lady Evita Peron.
The show is a revival of the 1978 Sir Andrew Lloyd-Webber production starring theater legends Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin.
In the preview released by The Hollywood Reporter Martin takes on Patinkin's role as Che, a peasant working in protest of the Argentinian government during the 1950s.
This marks the singer's first return to Broadway since 1996, when he played Marius in Les Miserables.
The 40-year-old singer rose to fame in the late '90s with his single 'Living La Vida Loca'.
He would later come out as gay in 2010, and has since been a vocal activist in the LGBT community.
Martin recently had a short arc on the musical television show Glee, in which he played a Spanish teacher.
Evita, which opened on Thursday, April 5, is currently playing on Broadway.
