Lovato wrote: "So.... today I was pulling into a parking space that some guys were standing in the middle of, and almost hit them.
"When one of the guys turned around.... it was a BEATLE........ Yes, YOU HEARD ME.... SIR PAUL McCARTNEY!!! He was so sweet!! Can't believe I met him today.. WOW!"
She went on to clarify that luckily McCartney walked away from the incident unscathed.
"I can't believe I almost ran over a Beatle," Lovato joked.
Lovato recently spoke out against film and television for promoting an "unhealthy body image" for young girls.
"A lot of girls that are young are insecure and they look to the media to see what she should look like," she explained. "The film and TV industry should take more responsibility."
Lovato will kick off a limited US concert run on June 12 in Del Mar, California.
