The 'One Moment In Time' singer passed away in February of an accidental drowning in her Los Angeles hotel room at the age of 48.
The results of Whitney's autopsy were released earlier this week, with reports later revealing that her body was covered by scars, cuts and burns at the time of death and that her body had been ravaged from years of drug abuse.
While no foul play was suspected in the death, police have since formally concluded an investigation and determined that no crime was involved.
Lieutenant Mark Rosen announced on Wednesday that the investigation had been closed following the review of Houston's autopsy report. He also extended condolences to the late star's family and friends for their loss.
Whitney's mother Cissy Houston has said that she was "very proud" of her daughter and did the best she could to help her through her troubles.
