A series of messages posted on a Twitter account in Love's name earlier this week alleged that Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl had "hit on" Cobain, her 19-year-old daughter with Grohl's former Nirvana bandmate Kurt Cobain.

Love's original messages were posted on a private account, but screencapped and released into the public domain on Wednesday (April 11).
Frances Bean Cobain said in a statement released on Thursday (April 12): "While I'm generally silent on the affairs of my biological mother, her recent tirade has taken a gross turn. I have never been approached by Dave Grohl in more than a platonic way.
"I'm in a monogamous relationship and very happy. Twitter should ban my mother."
Grohl has also vehemently denied the allegations about his conduct, releasing a short statement describing the claims as "upsetting, offensive and absolutely untrue" and criticising Love for a "hateful Twitter rant".
