Gordon Ramsay's first manager has accused the chef of wrecking his marriage.
Paul Wareing, who gave Ramsay his first job at a pub-restaurant in Sibford Gower, Oxfordshire, only discovered the truth last week when reading the star's new autobiography Humble Pie. The affair started when Gordon, aged 19, moved on to the pub premises and grew close to Paul's wife Jackie.
"At the time Jackie and I started arguing about everything and in the end I just moved out. Now I know what was going on!" Wareing told the Sunday Mirror.
"I gave Ramsay his first job, treated him like a son. But all this time he was sleeping with my wife behind my back and under my own roof. It's like a knife in the stomach."
