Former MasterChef Australia contestant Hayden Quinn has been named CLEO magazine's 25th 'Bachelor Of The Year'.

The reality TV personality, who is also a trained lifeguard, triumphed over X Factor Australia and Dancing with the Stars contestant Johnny Ruffo, plus Celebrity Apprentice Australia contestant Nathan Joliffe, in the annual poll.

Quinn told AAP: "It was a surprise and it was such an amazing contingency of guys up there.

"It was truly an honour to be named the 25th-year CLEO 'Bachelor Of The Year'."

He joked at a Sydney event announcing the result on Wednesday (April 18) that the competition was "basically eHarmony on steroids" and confirmed that he is currently still single.

Quinn has previously denied romances with professional surfer Sally Fitzgibbons and fellow MasterChef Australia contestant Ellie Paxton-Hall.

He made the top six during MasterChef last summer.
