The couple eloped and married in California earlier this month after announcing their engagement in August 2011.
Lake, who is already mother to 15-year-old and 10-year-old sons from a previous relationship, confessed that she and Evans will forego having a baby as they want to enjoy the freedom afforded to them by not having young children to look after.
"We are not gonna have more kids. We have made that decision. We went down the road of discussing it," the 43-year-old explained to Celebuzz.
"When you fall in love, the fantasy of making a baby and all that is definitely appealing. But I also love this phase of my life, where my children are 15 and almost 11. It's really nice to have some freedom to be able to go away and have a balance of a fun kind of life with your husband and also with growing children."
Lake went on to reveal that while she and Evans married alone, she hopes to hold a larger celebration that includes their family and friends in the near future.
"I definitely want to celebrate… because I know there were a lot of people disappointed that they weren't able to take part in it," she said. "We definitely will do that. Maybe we'll renew our vows or something. I don't know. Like I said in my book, 'Never say never!' I'm open to it all."
Earlier this week, Lake admitted that it was hard to keep her wedding a secret.
