Dad Brad is happier than ever

Brad Pitt has said that he lives for his children who are making his life better than ever.

The star, who has two adopted and one natural child with partner Angelina Jolie, said he has been through a huge change in recent years - and is sure it is for the better.

"The change has been immense," he said in an interview with the Daily Mirror. "I've become a father, turned 40, and I've become more clear on the direction that I'd like to take and the things that speak to me.

"In my younger days I was more of a drifter. I'd try many things - I'd try anything. But now there's a real pride in understanding myself and what's important to me and my own values."

He explained that having the children at home gave him a new perspective on life. "I still value the work I do, but at the same time I value more getting home to the kids," he said. "It somehow makes my work mean more because I know somewhere down the road that my kids will see it. That is the way I approach everything now."
