Barrymore "still learning to be gay"

Michael Barrymore has said that he is "still learning to be gay".

The former television star and Celebrity Big Brother contestant said it was quite likely he would soon marry his partner Sean, however.

"There is a strong possibility," he commented. "Sean would rather it was sooner, but I spent so many years resisting my sexuality the truth is I’m still learning to be gay."

He also spoke about the pain of Stuart Lubbock being found dead in his swimming pool in 2001. He explained: "Now, just sitting here, I can see the body in the deep end."

The host added that the event had helped him come to terms with his problems with drink and drugs, however, and driven him to rehabilitation.
