During his speech, Obama joked that he will be listening to Young Jeezy for his second term. In 2008, the 'Champion' rapper recorded an Obama-inspired track with Nas called 'My President' for his third album The Recession.
"In my first term I sang Al Green. In my second term, I'm going with Young Jeezy," Obama quipped.
"Michelle says 'yeah'," he continued as the camera panned to First Lady Michelle Obama. "I sing that to her sometimes."
Young Jeezy, who didn't attend the Correspondents' Dinner, took to his Twitter to respond to Obama's shout out.
"Shout out to @BarackObama," he posted. "You know they love the snowman in the white house."
The 'Snowman', which symbolises a young hustler, is the logo for Young Jeezy's hip-hop T-shirts.
