Report: Hurley paid £80k to attend party

Liz Hurley was reportedly paid £80,000 to attend a showbiz New York party.
Champagne producer Moet & Chandon apparently hired the actress after model Sophie Dahl pulled out of their showcase bash at the last minute.
Fortunately organisers were still able to hire Hurley, known to consider champagne "the best drink in the world", but not just for a supply of complementary bubbly.
According to the Mail on Sunday, the mega-bucks fee did not secure a happy star. She was reportedly unfriendly and made sure she got more than her fair share of champagne.
"Of course, Elizabeth was the talk of the night for all the wrong reasons," one guest told the paper. "Someone was told that she had been paid to attend the party and from then on, the news spread like wildfire. There were some crazy figures flying around."
Another said: "She had an entire deck to herself and refused to talk to anyone. She was there solely to be pictured. In fairness to her, it's no real surprise she got very tipsy. There was no food on offer and it was freezing cold. She was just standing there shivering in her frock."
A spokesman for Moet & Chandon confirmed Hurley was paid but would not comment on the amount.
