The X Factor judge and 'Young' singer told The Mirror that she received a "really nice" message from the superstar.
"I've been in touch with Cheryl," Contostavlos said. "I actually had a really nice text from her after my 'hoo-hah' a couple of weeks ago, offering her support."
Back in March, the 23-year-old confirmed rumours that she was the blonde-haired female in the video alongside ex-boyfriend MC Ultra, whom she later sued.
Referring to her new title of FHM's 'Sexiest Woman in the World', the star added: "When people say I'm the new 'nation's sweetheart' I'm like, 'No!'.
"That role will always belong to Cheryl!' I've become the nation's little rebel."
Contostavlos beat Cheryl Cole, who finished second in the poll. The 'Fight For This Love' singer had previously been named 'Sexiest Woman' in 2009 and 2010.
