Gibson: I'm sober and stupid

Mel Gibson has abstained from alcohol since his arrest for drink-driving.
The 50-year-old burst into an anti-Semitic tirade after being pulled over 65 days ago, and was eventually banned from driving for three months and fined £700.
Gibson told Good Morning America that what he said was "the stupid ramblings of a drunkard...the last thing I want to be is that kind of monster. [I have to] allay the fears of others and to heal."
Of his alcoholism, he noted: "Years go by, you're fine [but a relapse happens] in a heartbeat, in an instant, on an impulse. All you can do is take another step, keep breathing."
