Report: Kidman tells Tomkat to marry

Nicole Kidman has told Katie Holmes to marry her former husband Tom Cruise, according to a report.

The actress made a point of phoning Cruise's new love, who gave birth to their child earlier this year, to ease her fears and encourage her to go ahead, according to Grazia magazine.

A source told the publication: "Nicole called Katie and they had a friendly chat, during which she said Tom had been a great, supportive husband for ten years and she shouldn't listen to any gossip about him that suggests otherwise.

"Nicole has made sure that she has told Katie how pleased she is [Katie and Tom are] getting married," he continued. "She's alleviated some of Katie's worries about what it's like being married to Tom and urged her to go ahead with the wedding. Nicole usually minds her own business, but she made an exception in this case."

Meanwhile, Holmes has admitted she has already prepared for the big day. She told People magazine: "I already have my dress."
