John Forsythe, best known for playing Blake Carrington in the 1980s show Dynasty, is currently in hospital recovering from treatment for colon cancer.
A representative of the 88-year-old actor, who was diagnosed with the illness in late September, told the Associated Press: "He seems to be in good spirits. They hope to have him home this weekend."
Forsythe is also known for providing the voice of the unseen Charlie in both the 1970s television series and recent films of Charlie's Angels. His former co-star Farrah Fawcett has also been diagnosed with cancer recently.
