His father Bobby believes that Horan has met his "sweetheart" in County Longford, describing the mystery girl as "very attractive".
"There's a local girl that Niall loves," he told Heat magazine. "I know he thinks of her as his sweetheart.
"She's very attractive, and they're close, but I don't know whether he's made any advances on her yet. I'm not going to embarrass her by giving her name, though.
"She's a brunette with big brown eyes and pale skin like Niall's. She's from the town but the other end to us, and I always knew Niall has big feelings for her."
The butcher added: "She would stand her ground with any of these beautiful celebrities."
Horan's ex-girlfriend Holly Scally was recently the subject of a death rumour spread on Twitter.
The 19-year-old singer, who recently returned to the UK following a US tour with his boyband, has previously admitted his dating inexperience.
