McCartney to trademark name
Published Sunday, Oct 15 2006, 23:03 BST | By David Cribb
Paul McCartney has applied to trademark his name, according to reports.
The singer will use his trademark on food and clothes, assuming no-one objects to his plans. The Trademarks Registry allows three months for any objections to be filed against the proposal.
If successful, McCartney will be entitled to take legal proceedings against companies or individuals who use similar names or logos to his own.
