The unnamed man, known as John Doe Number Two, decided to drop his lawsuit against the Grease star earlier this week.
However, he has now hired Gloria Allred to represent him, People reports.
"We believe that the lawsuit should be filed in another court and, therefore, the lawsuit was dismissed without prejudice," Allred said. "We will be conferring with our client regarding what will happen next in this case."
Allred, who has represented a number of high-profile clients such as Tiger Woods's former mistress Rachel Uchitel, was also recently hired by the first masseur to accuse Travolta of inappropriate behaviour. John Doe Number One originally withdrew his lawsuit earlier this week.
Travolta's lawyer recently denied suggestions that the actor had paid his accusers to drop their cases.
