Comedy legends Monty Python partially reunited on Tuesday night to herald the opening night of new musical Spamalot in London.
Eric Idle, who provided music and lyrics for the stage version of the Monty Python and the Holy Grail film, was joined by former Pythons Terry Jones, Michael Palin and Terry Gilliam. John Cleese was unable to attend as he is currently in Australia.
Idle is hoping that Spamalot will repeat its Broadway success in London. Actor Tim Curry has crossed the Atlantic to reprise his role as King Arthur in the new West End production.
