Keane frontman Tom Chaplin has revealed he still has to be aware of his drug and alcohol addictions.
The star, who recently came out of rehab clinic the Priory after battling with booze and cocaine, told Radio 1 about the scale of the problem.
He said taking on addiction was “like walking to the edge of a cliff and looking into the abyss.” He explained: “You can either jump off or turn round and walk back. Thankfully for me it was the latter.”
"I think some people have this impression of it as some sort of trendy health spa," he said of his time in the clinic. "But there are a lot of people, including myself, in there with some very serious problems. They’re dealing with life and death.
“Drugs and drink and all those things are something that are everywhere now,” he continued. “I have to be aware and be careful of it.”
