Gordon Ramsay has been discharged from hospital after being stretchered off the pitch in this weekend's Soccer Aid match.

The celebrity chef was knocked to the ground by Teddy Sheringham during England's 3-1 victory over the Rest of the World at Old Trafford last night (May 27).

Ramsay did not return after being taken off by medics and no update on his health was given during the live ITV broadcast.

However, Ramsay has since assured Twitter followers that he is feeling a "bit sore but fine" after receiving treatment.

"Thx 4 all the messages," he wrote this morning (May 28). "Out of hospital after receiving amazing care from medics at ground & hospital. Bit sore but fine Gx."

The fourth bi-annual Soccer Aid game, organised by Robbie Williams and Jonathan Wilkes, has raised over £4m for UNICEF.

Kasabian guitarist Sergio Pizzorno was named 'Man of The Match' for scoring against former England goalkeeper David Seaman. Other players included Will Ferrell, Edward Norton, James McAvoy, Mike Myers and Michael Sheen.
