Nixon and Marinoni, who have dated since 2004, tied the knot in New York state on Sunday, a spokesperson for the actress told People.

The actress's rep said in a statement: "On May 27, 2012, Cynthia Nixon and her girlfriend, Christine Marinoni, were legally married in the state of New York. Nixon wore a custom dress by Carolina Herrera."
Nixon first announced that she and Marinoni were engaged at a New York gay marriage rally in 2009.
Marinoni gave birth to the couple's first child, son Max Ellington, last February. The star has two older children from her relationship with ex-boyfriend Danny Mozes.
Mozes and Nixon ended their 15-year relationship in 2004.
