Alex Reid: 'Being a pregnant man is exhausting' - pictures

By
Alex Reid has said that it was "exhausting" being a 'pregnant man' for a day.

The cage-fighter-turned-actor-turned-singer posed with an artificial baby bump to mark his fiancée Chantelle Houghton's genuine pregnancy.

"It's exhausting - the pressure on your tummy isn't nice," Reid told Now magazine. "It sits on your bladder and your bits.

"[Houghton] thought it was funny but also a good idea. She knows I'm here doing this today so I can understand what she's going through a bit better."

He added: "I now appreciate that she's in pain all the time. Until you've actually experienced it, you don't realise.

"It's a struggle to even sit up. It's exhausting. I can never get comfortable... If I could carry this baby like in the film Junior then I'd have the baby for us. I could do it!"

Of reports that Houghton wanted a photoshoot with their baby without him, Reid said: "There's been some serious miscommunication between our management teams. I want to get to the bottom of it."

Asked if her team wanted her to make all the money from such a shoot, he replied: "It's not about the money, it's about union. What message would that send? I don't believe she'd do that. She said she wouldn't."
